26 Nov Guitars and Ukes in the Classroom – Media Relations at Work
Guitars & Ukes in the Classroom hired c3 Communications, Inc. (c3) to help elevate their brand via media relations, not just in San Diego but also the country. Given our CEO went to the Orange County High School of the Arts and c3’s experience in promoting non-profits, it was a perfect fit. Here is a story c3 secured on the national The James Cooley Podcast as an overall segment discussing their program, what they do for local school and the kids as well as how the program helps elevate student engagement. Take a listen and hopefully it will inspire others to donate to their cause (time, treasure or talent) or inquire how to implement the program in a school. We know media relations will be the key in getting this wonderful organization noticed.
Guitars and Ukes in the Classroom is dedicated to expanding the role of music in education and to elevating student engagement by making purposeful, inclusive, hands-on music a joyful and integral part of academic and social-emotional learning throughout the school day, and beyond.
As they have on their website, this isn’t just about giving out free guitars and ukulele. They pursue their mission by training, equipping, and inspiring educators, specialists, school staff, and support service providers to lead classroom music with songs for learning, collaborative student songwriting, and developmental instrumental instruction that builds 21st Century Skills. These include cooperation, communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
We are so excited to help this non-profit stand out and garner the attention they so deserve.
