12 Mar San Diego Police Foundation’s Friends of the Badge Event
c3 Communications, Inc. (c3) has once again been hired by the San Diego Police Foundation to promote the 20th Annual Friends of the Badge luncheon on May 30 at the San Diego Convention Center. Our task is to not only build excitement around the non-profit event but also increase attendance, awareness of the Foundation and increase funds raised through a strategic traditional public relations, digital media and social media campaign.
Create Awareness through TV Media Tour
To create awareness and preview the 2018 Friend of the Badge event, we have booked an advance media tour with the San Diego’s new Chief of Police and the CEO of the San Diego Police Foundation. This will be one of the first events for the new San Diego Police Department (SDPD) Chief, David Nisleit. This provides a new angle for us to push, including exclusive interviews, and allows us to get the community and media excited and engaged about attending and supporting the 2018 Friends of the Badge.
Print, Online and Social Media
In addition, to further promote the event and Foundation; we are executing a heavy print and online push to all the top tier outlets in San Diego for feature advance and day-of coverage. In addition, we are creating engaging social media content for the Foundation’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. We will also be executing a digital marketing push to all the strategic event and other media sites blanketing San Diego County.
Friends of the Badge is an opportunity for the public at-large to get up close and personal and talk one on one with not only the Chief of Police but America’s Finest Police Officers. Attendees will get an inside look at their important work through an interactive All Things Police Showcase. These elements generate a story for us to pitch media outlets and to spark their interest in covering the event to help further the San Diego Police Foundation’s mission and garner donations.
We are excited about the opportunity to work with Chief of Police David Nisleit and to help generate funds and awareness to support the San Diego Police Foundation’s mission to help the SDPD. Stay tuned for the results of our 2018 campaign!
