SD Police Foundation Gold Shield Gala

27 Sep San Diego Police Foundation Gold Shield Gala

We have once again been asked to help with the PR for the San Diego Police Foundation’s Gold Shield Gala at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines. This year’s gala theme is “Viva Azul” which celebrates the multi-cultural essence of San Diego and captures the passion community members feel for supporting the brave men and women of the San Diego Police Department. It is with great pleasure to announce Kristi Pieper as Gala Chair, Helen and Chris Ghio as Honorary Chairs and Guest of Honor Chief David Nisleit. Assistant Chiefs and K9 Unit Officers will also be in attendance. Wanted to make sure the weekend planners were aware of this event coming up this Saturday evening. SDPD needs to raise monies for more very needed K9 Crime Fighters. The event funds that endeavor. There will K9 demos.

SDPD Officer of the Year Johnathan Wiese (honored for his actions during the active shooter incident at the Chabad of Poway synagogue.) will be at the event and available for interviews.

WHY:
The special charitable focus of this year’s Gala is the K9 Crimefighter Campaign¸ which funds all the new police dogs for America’s Finest K9 Unit as well as equipment and training to keep this renowned unit at its peak. Community support of the Police Foundation also helps provide the funding for much-needed equipment, training and outreach programs in support of a Safer San Diego. Donations received during the Gold Shield Gala will support the overall work and mission of the San Diego Police Foundation to support the needs of the San Diego Police Department.
